The PTA visit for the term was on Sunday so I had to work. I taught one class but I managed to get most of my Hokkaido vacation planned out! Seeing has how I worked on Sunday, I had Monday off.

We just watched Happy Feet yesterday! Man, that film was brilliant. Yes, it did get a bit preachy, but I was too busy being "ded of cute" to be bothered much by it. Pengies!!!

I really liked how the penguins (and other birds) talked about the humans like they were aliens. The alien abduction story was hilarious. And the animation was...wow. The waves! The whales! Just everything!

Now I feel this sudden urge to dig out my copy of "March of the Penguins" for some reason. ;-D

Speaking of films, evidently Hot Fuzz is the movie to see right now. Alas, it has not opened here in Dubuque as yet (we always get things late!), but we're probably going to see it once it gets here. All my online friends who have seen it already swear it's the BEST COP MOVIE EVAH. It was made by the same guys who did Shaun of the Dead, which took zombie movies to a whole new level.
