Were the World Mine
Is anyone else's friends list messed up? My first page had just two entries, the second had about four or five then the third only had one. I don't think I changed any of the settings....
Anyway, I have to tell you all about the movie I am officially obsessed with. I found a clip of it from YouTube and eventually found it on the Instant Play option on Netflix. It's called "Were the World Mine" and it came out in 2009. It's won a lot of acclaim with the credits and over 75 film festivals. It's a musical movie based on the short film, "Fairies." It's about a gay high school student named Timothy who is, of course, in love with a jock who seemingly won't give him the time of day. He's ridiculed by the other jocks as well as their coach. He decides to try out for the musical reinvention of "A Midsummer's Night Dream" and manages to recreate the "love juice" described in the play. He uses not only on the boy of his dreams but on the town that doesn't fully accept him as well. Shenanigans, of course, ensue
It's really clever and heart-warming and the music is brilliant and I love it. Here's the official poster:
