New Module Info: "Angelic Life"

Oct 12, 2007 16:54

Here's some info on the new module, as promised. :)

The module Angelic Life will be heavily focused on the story and includes some fights that will be played in a mode simillar to "God Mode" since it is only there because the story requires it. But don't panic; I will put in some kind of explanation to why you cannot lose any HP, so that it will fit ( Read more... )

It sounds very interesting. A bit strange, but interesting. Hehe, could be the story of a manga/anime series (no offense !) if you ask me. The cat-humanoid (*purr) points in this direction, too.

I don't have Problems with low Combat/low EXP settings, but i think you should come up with some .. motivational aspects, besides the story itself (-> gameplay). Like upgradable items, custom feats etc. ("rose of eternity"-like).

I think i would post a lot more, but my english...you know, missing words and such. Totally sucks :D

Glad you think it sounds interesting! Yeah, my goal is to create a new experience in a new world that could be compared to that of Final Fantasy, but can also be very much pointed towards mangas/animes as well. :)

Thank you for your tip. You're actually very right ... I'll try to come up with some things that can be used in the gameplay.

I think your english seems fine, so if you have any more ideas that you'd like to share, I command you to share them with me! >:)

Hehehe :D

But don't get me wrong: a good story is far more important than some of these gameplay-gimmicks. I really enjoy low-combat games, but then the fights should be something special. Demanding, interesting, worthy to be remembered.

I will try to comment your further ideas once they are revealed. And i finally voted SH2 @ NWVault :D

I have come up with some ideas regarding weapons. I'll probably use a sword as a weapon for Vincent and this sword will be able to make him invurnerable in battle, but it should also be upgradable in some way. So the invurnerability might not be featured in the beginning, but will be accessed later in the module.

I'll probably make some of the fights more like puzzles instead of mere fights which can be kind of boring. :)

An upgradable weapon sounds fine, i'm sure you can come up with something that doesn't destroy the story/atmosphere somehow. But don't waste to much energy on that if most things are done through dialog.

Do you plan to add a romance ? (I have to ask, i'm sort of addicted to crpg-romances :D)

Sure, I'll focus most of my energy on the dialog and the weapon comes secondary. :)

Actually, I am addicted to that as well. :D So the answer is ... YES!! :P

I am actually planning to feature two romances (choosable, of course), where one will be Cattis and the other a new female character that I have created. I'll leave it as a surprise for now. :)

heyheyhey fellow moddddddderrrr!

what you're doing sounds interesting. the story reminds me a little bit to blue byte's albion.

but why aren't you doing it as a nwn 2-module?

Hello hello fellow modder! :) Glad to hear you think it sounds interesting. :) Had never heard of Albion before, but I checked it out and perhaps it has some similarities.

Well, the reason there's no NWN2 mod is simply because I haven't learned to use the NWN2 toolset. :S

And I know the NWN1 toolset all to well (and it is also partly because I found some very interesting models that I'm crawing to use) so I thought that was the best way to go.
