Here's some info on the new module, as promised. :)
The module Angelic Life will be heavily focused on the story and includes some fights that will be played in a mode simillar to "God Mode" since it is only there because the story requires it. But don't panic; I will put in some kind of explanation to why you cannot lose any HP, so that it will fit into the story and the overall flow of the module. You will be be doing most things through dialog.
THIS POST DOES NOT INCLUDE ANY SPOILERS, SINCE THIS INFO IS ALREADY KNOWN FROM THE START OF THE GAME.
As of now, you will play a premade Level 1 character (probably a fighter or paladin, not fully decided yet) called "Vincent". Since this module doesn't feature any EXP, you will stay at LV1 through the whole module.
You play the male human character know as Vincent. You and your sister; Lenna the mechanic, has lived in the normal world until this day. Both you're parents died a year back so until now, you have lived on your own and tried your best to make the most out of life. You are both very close and you both love eachother dearly. But one day a hysterical female Jester appears in your house and opens a portal to another world. You are both sucked into it as the Jester dissappears back in ... you awaken in a different world full of magical mysterious creatures. Creatures of the likes that you have never seen and not a human in sight anywhere ... except for the two of you.
The rest of the story takes place in a world called "Dimidius" (which means Halved or Divided in Half) where a magical military force called "The Dividers" has divided the population into two different groups based on their "Angelic Powers". Angelic power is this world's synonym for what we know as magic and mental power. If you have high Angelic Power/Energy, you are considered a noble and will be granted riches and a higher place in society. But if you have low to none Angelic Power, you will be considered a beggar and treated thereafter.
The Dividers are ruled by a self aclaimed dictator only known as The World Dividerer. His word is law and if anyone disobey or don't follow the law in a perfect way; they are either punished by unspeakable torture, jail or in worst cases swift execution. The World Dividerer is keeping the world of Dimidius in a twisted balance between those with- and without Angelic Powers. He himself believes he is the one with the most Angelic Power. He doesn't speak to his people directly, instead he uses a creature known as The Protector which he orders to spread his twisted propaganda around the world.
Vincent thinks this feels unjust and feels that he wants to do something about it ... just in this moment, a gnome, strangely out of place in this new world; walks up to you bearing cloths that could be connected to that of a Wizard. This is the beginning of your incredible adventure, full of magic, unspeakable evil, a few kind and comforting people, a twisted society and a divine power ... coming from a mysterious machine know as Angelic Life.
The module will include a pair of interesting companions which includes your sister Lenna the mechanic woman, Cattis the female cat-humaniod, Cornelius the wise Gnome Wizard and perhaps some others that I have not come up with yet. These will all have different personalitys and will all play a major role in the story. Other NPCs will be be as important as the companions as well. And I personally think that the villain in this module will be hated and remembered by all for its unspeakable evil and twisted ways. As for the few good people in this module, they will instead be loved and remembered for their unselfish and glorious deeds. No rpg-player will go untouched by this story.
I hope this has made you interested in my new module. I do not think you will be disappointed. ;) Please, LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK. I'LL BE DILIGTED TO HEAR ANYTHING YOU HAVE TO SAY ABOUT MY MODULE.
I might post more info as I develop the module and I will try to keep it as spoiler-free as it can get.
Bye for now! Berra out.
