First off, thanks to everyone for the kind words and support about our dog's passing on Saturday. Of all the pets we had growing up, Spike was the only one I've mourned. Yeah, the weather was awesome that day and made for a very nice hike.

The trail is mostly flat with a few gentle inclines. You hardly notice them if you just keep pushing forward. The pace was quick but very doable. There were a couple times when I broke into a slight jog just because. I would have jogged more but I wasn't really dressed for trail running. The hike was more or less like a power walking session on a treadmill with better scenery.

Hope you can make it out to a future hike.

Thanks! I didn't think much of it when I put it on in the morning, but it got a few comments and and giggles from fellow hikers on the trail.
