Honestly, a big "ditto" to all your thoughts on season 9. I pretty much had the same likes and dislikes. Although I'd add a minor dislike in bringing back old characters for one episode and killing them off. They did it last year with Sarah, and now they've done it with Tessa (and funnily enough they were both in episode #22 of both seasons). IDK, it's just a personal pet peeve of mine.
There are so many questions going into season 10, those are some very good ones. I was wondering if Sam would try to cure Dean, but Dean doesn't seem like a typical demon, so who knows if it'd actually work. I'm also wondering where they're going to pick up from with season 10. I'd guess it'd be soon after the end of the finale. And I wonder if Sam will find out right away if Dean is a demon, or if not, what will tip him off. Though like you said, can Dean teleport? Would he leave and Sam would be sitting there scratching his head, wondering where he went.
I agree. I feel like they only killed Tessa to show how Dean was going off the deep end. I think we knew Dean was losing it without killing Tessa. Though I guess it's also fair to say that Tessa sorta/kinda killed herself.
