Once again I find myself in the San Francisco Bay area, home of a couple of Worldcons, lots of sightseeing adventures, and Lydia's birth. All this travel to the left coast happens because Karl has a business associate out here, the guy who was behind Intertust and who now has another venture going. Another couple of long travel days lie ahead, including a visit with my folks for Dad's 80th birthday. We're bringing them lunch and then will go out to the Tavern, the best restaurant in State College, where we've celebrated milestone for 39 years. Details of the trip so far later. We've had lots of fun, but right now we're waiting for our flat tire to be changed so we can leave Montreal, replace the totally busted tire, and proceed to Quebec city. And it's raining. Wish us luck!

We're about to leave for Canada with a brief stop at Niagara Falls. Unfortunately, not time enough to hook up with a cyberfriend who lives nearby. Sigh. Out the door in a few minutes, stop at the post office to mail some tax returns, and away we go!

I'm tired and I have a headache. The only thing I managed to do today, besides ferry Lydia to and from her one-week psychology class, was to set up a bunch of doctor and dentist appointments.
