In short it rocked. Some folks will be annoyed, but I think it was awesome. The checklist:

There really is something for everyone.

I have not as yet seen the movie, but as I understand it was masterfully done. SOOOO want to see.

I feel that Karl Urban was a spot-on casting. He has that same kind of pinched look that the late great DeForest Kelley had, the same intense expression. I felt similar when Zachary Quinto came on as young Spock; nobody else could have fit so well.

Simon Pegg was a nice surprise. I didn't know he was in it.

Agreed that carl urban was brillant but Simon peg made that movie for me. He was awesome for wee bit he was there!
