I'll try and talk to my brother. If I told him that a friend needed it, he might be willing to take the job for just the cost of parts.

Hard part is getting brother to truck/truck to brother.

You know, for the cost of fixing the waith you could probably buy a second hand truck somewhere. Or if you could get someone to co-sign on your loan you might be able to buy something from a dealership.

Well, an option was presented to me this evening, even if I don't like it.

Apparently, Julie now works at a used car dealarship. This particular one specializes in bad credit cases. She's "offered" to "help me out" because according to my dad she sas that she "doesn't hate Dominic and Jennifer"... However, desperate times make for strange bedfellows as it were... I should know in a few days if I can get a new car or not.

I'm not sure what this does to my Con plans for the weekend either, as I've had my pass for weeks now, but am without transportation. I also was not planning to sleep at the con, because home is but a short 35 minute drive away... It's that "drive" bit thats the issue now. We'll see how things turn out.

Even if Julie doesn't help you with it, I bought two cars from local user car dealerships that handle their own financing. Where you make the payments directly to them. So it's not entirely unheard of. It's just a matter of cruising the personally owned small dealerships.
