Oh glorious! I remember seeing this on TNT when I was a kid (back when they still showed all those awesome 70s era monster movies). Adding to my wish list!

I also think that it strongly inspired the Gargoyles animated series of the 1990's. The main villain in the movie can best be described as Goliath with Demona's philosophy.

It may well have been. I mainly remember how mad his mate (or whatever) got when the horny old devil started chasing that anthropologist's daughter.

And would you be surprised if I said I know people who actually thought that the female gargoyle was kind of cute?
