Thank you for sharing the story. I found it very interesting, and I reflect on the fact that the communist cheerleaders are still at it -- in our streets, and in our universities, where a surprising number of them teach. And, apparently, do not learn.
Thanks, though I'm unhappy with how I wrote the commissar's comments about the arts and such -- back when Dad first told it to me, there was this picture-perfect way that he put it that worked so much better thsan the clumsy wording I used here.
Thank you very much for sharing this. A lot of Americans, particularly those under the age of 30, need to read and discuss such accounts, so they'll have a much better understanding of just why Communism, Socialism, and Marxism are most decidedly not the Good Things that agitators try to make them out to be. Russia under Communism was hell on Earth. May it forever be free of that particular blight!
Not by itself. But it sure can help to eventually break through the bullshit the kids were taught in school and get them to wondering about things enough to start doing their own research. It's a great story, well-written and compelling, which will get people to read it who otherwise would not pay attention to the message in the story. The results won't show themselves right away, but believe me, this can really help in the long run.
