Now he really is a (Jedi) Knight!

This just in: Beloved veteran SF, fantasy, and horror actor Christopher Lee was knighted by Queen Elizabeth.

I wonder if we can call him "Sir Dooku" now? Though this might be a step down for him; after all, he was a Count for a great many years!

More seriously -- all congratulations to you, Sir Lee.

Congratulations, Sir Christopher, and long past due when you consider his service in WWII, some of it behind enemy lines in both the LRDG and SOE.

I just read up on the skill requirements for both the SOE and the LRDG. Ye gods! Christopher Lee is a real-life superman, especially when you add in his (as I understand) top-notch fnecing skills and his acting talent.

Odd to find a good soldier who made a good spy, though. I just thought that the mindsets for the two jobs were too different.

True, though he's more likely been knighted for his accomplishments as an actor than his achievements in Her Mejesty's Army.
