Here's a new one -- Penn Gillete gives Christians a bawling-out for not preaching at him at every opportunity: http://www.breitbart.tv/?p=245243Read more... )
Actually, Penn was trying to say how a Christian came up to him and complemented him and the show and did it with a very nice, respectable and sincere manner. I wonder if that one person really will make Penn think a little more. Penn states that he KNOWS there is no God ... but this one person seems to have Penn thinking.
Oh, okay, that's different. *sigh* I have to remember -- nothing you hear from an otherwise unknown person on the internet can ever be taken at face value. A dummy is me.
The point of it is to have the courage of your convictions. If you believe something have the guts to say it and not puss out because you think people won't like it.
Yes, but at the same time one must remember to show some tact and not go for the in-your-face approach. You're Catholic (or so I believe), you've probably had at least one fellow Christian give you hell for following the "Church of Babylon" or some such a thing.
Not on a very good connection here, so I can't watch it...but I recently read something in a similar vein, with an athiest insisting that if Christians *Really* believed you have to believe in God to go to heaven, they'd be preaching at him more.
To which anyone who pays attention to what actually gets folks to change their minds would ask... are you nuts? You don't make folks change by saying "STOP IT, you IDIOT! YOU'LL KILL YOURSELF!"-- which is what "change or go to hell" boils down to; you change folks' minds by getting them to rethink their actions. Thus, the great Saint who said "preach the Truth at all times; if absolutely needful, use words."
