Seems like I got the flu from somewhere. At the very least, I've got the usual headache/joint pain/tummy troubles. I wouldn't even notice but that the other day I had to toss two dead chipmunks in our basement in the garbage (several hours after my sister noticed them and of course did nothing). PvP? Sorry, but I'm not familiar with the term.

And getting back to the new D&D, I'm also annoyed that all settings will have a maximum of 3 books about them -- and if you want anything else you'll have to get an online account ($15 a month) for the rest. Robbers.

If the online account will replace Dragon and Dungeon, as they promised, you think it could be a little cheaper.

PvP = player versus player...essentially gearing your character for that is maxing him out for solo combat at the expense of other skills or abilities.

Yeah, combat does indeed seem to be the be-all and end-all in the new system. They dropped all the 'non-combat' spells, for one thing (i.e., Tenser's Floating Disk, Continual Light, etc.), and even pared the deity list down to those gods who 'adventurers would want to worship'. So no 'non-pertinent' deities of love, animals, craftsmanship, agriculture...
