Grr
Went to get my larp boots re-soled on the heel where it broke after WitW, and they've done it with smooth rubber, despite my asking for 'something grippy', as they said that was all they had in the colour. Despite my complaints, still had to pay £8 for the privilege. Grr ( Read more... ) -
Hand-sewing is, as my sister would say, bare long ting
Still pootling about with costume bits. Went off to the V&A, which was shockingly disappointing in display, but had a good bookshop. Worked up a design for a stomacher and embroidery thereof: it is probably ridiculously over-ambitious but hopefully I can pull it off somehow. Some things I want to make:
- Knit Xmas thing for Newvani
- Knit Xmas hat for Mum
- Knit IC present for January Maelstrom Player Event (AKA charity baby clothes)
- Embroidered stomacher to emposhen my outfit for the above
- Leather point protector for my scissors
- Re-jig my first ever Strom costume (pink!) that Grandma worked so hard on but I loathe
