I. OH MY GOD. INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS WAS AWESOME. WORDS CANNOT EVEN BEGIN TO DESCRIBE HOW AWESOME IT WAS.

1. ELI ROTH. WHEN DID YOU GET SO SEXY? Not to menton you look similar to ZQ but that is completely besides the point. Clearly.

Inglorious Basterds was such a fun film considering it is about WW2. It kind of threw me, because I went into it knowing NOTHING except a trailer, and so I figured it was your average WW2 movie.

And then they blew up Hitler. I don't even.

But I was thoroughly entertained for the two and a half hours it was running, and I did quite like it. Which one was Melanie Laurent? Shoshana? (was that her name?) Because she was BAMF. OMG.

Also I spent the entire movie thinking it WAS Zachary Quinto. Oops. In my defense I'm not a Quinto fangirl so I'm not super-ashamed.

YES. I loved that it wasn't a typical WWII film. Then again, when is Tarantino ever typical? I bet that word isn't even in his vocabulary unless he's saying that he doesn't want something to be typical. Or something. I loved that he had the guts to go and kill Hitler.

And yeah, Laurent was Shoshana. BAMF IS DEFINITELY A GOOD ADJECTIVE FOR HER.

LOL. It's okay, bb. I forgive you. Before this film came out, there were rumors of ZQ pairing up with Tarantino and while trailers were already out for this film, people were still clamoring with: "ELI ROTH IS NOT ZQ OMGGG." But they do look similar. I guess I can blame ZQ for my attraction to Roth if anything.

I haven't really seen any Tarantino, actually. It totally blew my mind because I had no idea it was coming rofl. It was like a SNAPE KILLS DUMBLEDORE moment. But more like BRAD PITT KILLS HITLER.

God Shoshana was a bamf indeed. No other word is accurate enough.

Hahahaha afterwards when people online were all "OMG ELI ROTH" I was just kind of like "...UM... OOPS!"

EXCEPT BRAD PITT DIDN'T KILL HITLER. ELI ROTH DID. LOL. But I totally get it. I've seen Pulp Fiction and the Kill Bill and they're all similar to this one but this one has to be my favourite. Definitely isn't conventional. Very Snape Kills Dumbledore.

I AGREE.

ilu. You make me happy inside. :D

ALSO. MORE ICON LOVE. Especially since it's The Princess Bride and not something ridiculously slashy.

Basically, your thoughts on Brad Pitt are spot-on. BUT YEAH. THIS IS TOTALLY MY FAVOURITE FILM AT THE MOMENT. LOL. I love the people who don't know Tarantino because they're kind of, '...wtf just happened and why can't I look away?' And it's awesome.

i think you are now my favourite lj friend. no one else i know appreciates movies like this!

tarantino is amazing, my personal favourite film is reservoir dogs. pulp fiction... yeah, no, not as great. and inglourious basterds just was like FWOOOARGH. or words to that effect. and the soundtrack!!! being a closet david bowie fan i loved the use of cat people (putting out fire) and the inclusion of all the ennio morricone tracks, especially the ones that had previously been used in kill bill (the names escape me at this present moment). and oh god eli roth... DUDE SERIOUSLY.

hmm that was a weird happy rant. i enjoy movies way too much. but hey, it's the business i want to get into ^^

Hee, thanks bb! Movies are definitely a really important part of my life so I'm glad people appreciate that. ♥

Guh, I haven't seen Reservoir Dogs yet! See, Pulp Fiction was probably my favourite Tarantino film until this one came along. THIS ONE JUST BLEW EVERYTHING OUT OF THE WATER FOR ME. IT WAS PERFECT AND AWESOME. Also, do you want the soundtrack? :D

Weird, happy rants are the best kind! And I agree with you about the movies.

When I watched the trailer I was like: "WTF ZQ is doing there?" So, after a little googling, Eli's name came up and I've re-watched the trailer again and...I'm in love. He is my favorite douchebag!
