Dude I totally want a library like Belle gets in Beauty and the Beast too! I've always told my parents that when I get older I will have a library in my house. So yeah I'm basically taking all the books in my house when I move out. Though I'm sure included in that will be all the magazines I've saved for various reasons.

I really need more books too, but alas m y parents stopped buying them for me *cries*

Heck yes. That's pretty much my dream library. I'm taking all my books whenever I move out - books are a big part of my life.

Omg, yes for huge libraries. I want to have a whole wing of my future house dedicated to books.

I'll have to disagree with you about The Scarlet Letter; I just couldn't get into it. I loved Hawthorne's short stories, though. (Especially "Young Goodman Brown".) :)

YES. Like a west wing or something with a giant library.

It's not my favourite book by any means but I'm enjoying it more than I thought I would. There are times where I get really bored reading it and other times where it piques my interest.

I NEED THE BRO CODE FOR SRS.

I definitely wanted more politics, definitely. I agree with you about it feeling disjointed but by the end, when it started to seem too long, everything just sort of faded together. I think the timing could have been handled better.

The writers may not have done a very good job with the Duke but I think Fiennes completely turned that around. He was by far the best performance in the film and I'll always think that. He was so powerful, simply with the gestures of his face and that was awe-inspiring. I really love what he did with the character and when he and Gee held hands at the end, my heart just ached.

YES. I WANT ALL THOSE BOOKS AND MORE AND OMFG WE'LL HAVE OUR OWN LIBRARY TOGETHER. That sounds so epic.

Long comments are fun. 8D

Ralph Fiennes outshone everyone bar none

This is basically what my review consisted of too! He easily stole every scene he was in, and not because he was overacting or demanding the attention. His performance is so subtle, and his character could have been reduced to just another villian, and yet he gave him an element of sympathy. I found myself... well, not quite feeling sorry for him, but not neccessarily hating him as I would someone else who had done the things that he had. Keira Knightley was wonderful too, but yes, Fiennes easily steals this. It just proves how much talent he has.

AND OMG YES, he and Joseph look so alike. You have some acting siblings that don't really resemble each other, and some that do, and these guys are the latter. You can almost see the similarities in their acting styles, but at the same time they manage to have their own unique style too. I can't wait to see Joe in Vivaldi.

I think Joe looks so much like Ralph in this picture:

Hurrah for having the same opinion! I certainly enjoyed Knightley's performance but it was Fiennes' performance that took my breath away. I love that he didn't need to say anything to steal a scene. I especially enjoyed the fact that, as you said, he wasn't just some regular antagonist meant to get in the way of the protagonist. Fiennes made the character so much deeper so that we could, on some level, have feelings besides bitterness towards him.

Whoa. He does look like Ralph in that picture. I like that they're so similar and yet so different; it gives me something different to love about each of them.

It is fair to say that the Fiennes brothers have more than their fair share of beauty and talent!

Cue me ranting about books and how I'm going to have a library like in Beauty and the Beast one day. :D
OMG I have always wanted a library like that! That's the best library ever! And you can definitely never have too many books. Just too little space to put them.

And you shouldn't feel bad about being more or less indifferent to fires. Because I lived in Sri Lanka for so many years where the Civil War's been going on for longer than I've been alive I'm kind of desentisized to bombs. Which I can never explain to anyone who hasn't lived in that kind of environment but when you go through so many scares & real ones you do get used to them.

Exactly! But with that library, you'll always have space! I wand that library so bad. xD

Thanks for that reassurance. I'm glad that you can see where I'm coming from and that it makes sense that I'd be numb to them by now. Fires are in no way good and I know they can cause a lot of damage to people's lives but they're so common that seeing a burst of smoke receives no real reaction from me.
