AHH!! Oh my gosh! You are my new best friend. I am completely obsessed with the Marauders and Lily as well, esp James. He is my favorite character and I talk about him all the time. My friends are getting super annoyed with me and think it's creepy because not only is he a fictional character (which I refuse to believe) but he died in the series as well (cries). I don't really care what they think. I'm a college Juinior and still love this series with all my heart. I started reading it when I was 10 and I've grown up with these characters like many other fans. However, I also always wanted to know more about the Marauder Era. I love Harry and all and I used to like him the most because I look exactly like how Ginny is described in the books. But, once we met Harry's dad in the books, I fell head over heels. Now, whenever I see any boy with dark hair and glasses, I freak out and think of James.

Do you mind me asking where you are from? I am also a huge Beatles fan and would love to see a live reenactment of their band.

The Marauders (plus Lily and Snape) are wonderful. Definitely my favourite aspect of Harry Potter. James Potter is pretty much the fictional love of my life. xD I've grown up with this series as well and I know what you mean about meeting the Marauders and everyone else paling in comparison. I always loved Ron but when I met Sirius and Remus in Prisoner of Azkaban, everyone sort of dropped like flies. Then I met, truly met, James in Order of the Phoenix and it was all over.

There's no doubt in my mind, either, that Lily certainly did hate James for a time but as Sirius told Harry, James screwed his head on right in their seventh year and it was a stepping stone for him and Lily.

You are wrong. JKR said that Lily was attracted to James when he was still a bully: "MA: How did they get together? She hated James, from what we’ve seen.

Haha, yes, it's always wonderful to meet fellow Marauders fans! They're definitely the best aspect of Harry Potter for me and I reread all their parts constantly without even reading the whole book. And yes, forever James and Lily. <3
