USA for beginners or The BBC's trip across America

Oct 18, 2008 12:03

I promised myself and my readers here not to get involved into US politics until after the elections. Vote what you want and live with the consequences. In the meantime, I'm busy selling Sarah-Palin-Voodoo-Dolls.So, if the elections are mentioned here then it's because they just happen to take place. The BBC's Jon Kelly travelled across the USA and ( Read more... )

I'll take one of your Sarah Palin voodoo dolls in a heartbeat.

That Ed sure sounds like a gazillion Southerners that I unfortunately know.
Living down here, you here all sorts of racist things & the thing is, the Christians have taken the Black & Muslim thing & just ran with it - fast & hard. It doesn't matter if Obama has repeatedly said that he isn't Muslim, to them, he is & their view will not change. I heard the other day that some think he is the Antichrist.
Wow, you gotta love those folks...not. I think it was Pointyebt's ( or someone else's, I forget now ) yahoo signature that said something about ignorance is fixable, but stupid is forever? These guys just love to ignore the facts...I should know, I live with one...but I am steady working on him. ^_^

I guess I'd be rich if I actually would sell such dolls. The Gods know I've been VERY tempted.

Those folks probably neither care nor do they realise that they sound and look like complete morons to the rest of the world. Which doesn't count, because according to their philosophy, there is no such thing as "rest of the world". Ed hasn't called yet, unfortunately. Oh well.

Good luck with your efforts. I know I wouldn't have the patience.

*shakes head* Sadly there are far too many Ed's in this country. I would absolutely love for each one of them to experience the flip side of their racism.

Can I have ten of those Voodoo dolls? :D

*hugs*

Watching interviews before these elections, I have sometimes really problems to figure out whether I'm watching an actual interview ("can't be, who'd be that stupid?") or a comedy ("can't be, who'd be that stupid?").

Hm, I think I really have to start a Sarah Palin Voodoo Doll production... with a really big bum so you can kick it. ;)

The whole thing is downright idiotic. I mean, who in their sane mind would spout such rubbish. Somebody should check Ed's ancestry, maybe we find a couple of criminals. Should lock him up then, for it's clearly in the blood... *head desk head desk head wash rinse repeat*
