see sauron the way he looked like when he deceived the elves. as a beautiful, stunning, angelic being (yes, we are still talking about sauron).
Sorry to interrupt, and yes, I know that I'm most certainly once again considered to be the Evil Canon Police and you are preferring Bow & Arrow; but... No. In this case, you're talking about Annatar. That was the name Sauron chose for himself *when* he was that angelic looking being, deceiving the Elves of Eregion. Saw the costume galleries? Eowyn's 'Victory' gown... sighsighsigh....
Just thought I'd mention that because that was Sauron's name at the time when he was like this... Just as 'Strider' was no more Elessar's name when he was (finally) King...
in the magic rats's series, "the last homely house", there is a character called ilinuil who is good, but yet still closely connected to sauron/the evil. and the way she described him is exactly like on this picture.
miss rat and I began writing in the lotr fandom together. we both thought mpreg was a somewhat odd concept, to say the least, so we decided to try and come up with a mpreg tale to see if we could make something out of it. we had some basics given (number of children, main pairings, timeframe), but wrote our own stories. mine was "swords and pacifiers", hers was "the last homely house".
highly recommended read, also her original stories are fabulous. and she and anand were the two who talked me into writing slash. :)
yes - I mean, if he had looked and behaved like some monster, the elves would have never fallen for him. I absolutely love this scene - aragorn staring at him in awe and then this transformation. fantastic!
But I have to say, the animation almost makes me feel sad...like nothing that beautiful should be turned to something so evil.
But I also have to say, it *is* Iluinil in my imagination!
I want ROTK EE but will have to wait until Christmas...and hope I've dropped enough hints. With luck it's in my dining room right now waiting to be put under the tree in a week!
I'm sure it will be under the christmas tree. and then we will not hear from you for at least a week because you'll be glued in front of your telly! :D
