My controller started dying several days ago and was resurrected (with the help of twenty dollars) today. In unrelated news, happy Easter.
It took TEN HOURS for Charby to pop. I turned myself into a ToD mule and left Ere there most of the day, missing an LS dynamis which probably didn't make too many people happy. But even after the dynamis was over it still hadn't popped so I asked for some help. Cib, Rush, and Wise came down to try to help me actually kill it, but the scrubs there claimed. Sigh. I left Ere on last night and some JPs killed it shortly after window opens. Next window is this afternoon, but Laria has somehow managed to convince the entire linkshell to go AFK at Tiamat waiting for it to pop, so getting the small handful to help me camp and kill it then might be a bit problematic. None the less, I'm going to keep getting ToDs at the expense of every linkshell event until I kill this thing since I'm not going to spend another 10 hours in that cave to regain the ToD. Let's hope I kill it before it becomes an issue with the linkshell.
The problem with
making an angsty entry about how you're better than everyone at blue mage is that eventually you actually have to prove you're better than everyone at blue mage. Shpen allowed me to go as BLU/NIN to Zhayolm last night. The third floor frog charmed us six or seven times on Wednesday's run. On last night's run?
Not charmed once. Yes, I still rock at BLU. Granted, that was the only time it tried, but the main problem we had on last run was the frog regening (I know, like 5 jobs that can cast DoTs and nobody did, right? Yeah that run clearly made me very upset) so interupting one frog chorus was all it took to kill it. Unfortunately, since we didn't get the pathos cleared from enough people over cell confusion (I blame the usual suspect) we couldn't fight the higher level NM frogs, but until that point the run had been going really smoothly. The third floor frog did drop 15 pieces that let Mopar complete his first salvage piece so that makes the run somewhat of a success.
More Charby and salvage tonight, so we'll see how that goes.
