So things got a little intense yesterday.

During recruitment practice we played the bonding activity "If you really knew me", which is where you take turns stating facts about yourself and if someone else has that in common with you they raise their hand. The first round is always something silly or unimportant, but it gets more serious after that. ( Read more... )

Aww *hugs*. I've played that game before but it's never gotten that deep. It's nice that you have such good support though!

Yeah it gets crazy. Kim's apparently struggling with sisterhood in her sorority so I'm encouraging her to do that with them.

i've never played "if you really knew me" but that sounds like good getting to know each other game. my sorority plays a lot of ten fingers and move your booty, but as social chair, i'm really trying to look for other kinds of games to get to know each other by. do you know of any others i can potentially steal ( ... )

What's ten fingers and move your booty?

"If you really knew me" is really our go-to thing if we're supposed to get serious. I'll have to think of some other things we've done.

I'm sorry you have the same fear I do :/

I don't think the school has realized that we only have one bed. We still have two mattresses though.

The other girl apparently opted not to move in, thank goodness. Saved us some headaches.

So in your sorority, the bigs pick their littles? Seniority doesn't really effect anything in our sorority, it's all on the little. I'd love to hear more about your sorority.

ten fingers is where everyone sits in a circle and holds up ten fingers. one at a time, we go through the circle and someone says something they've never done. for example, a common one is "never have i ever had sex" and anyone who HAS had sex would put a finger down. unfortunately it gets dirty pretty fast and people usually lose all their fingers rather quickly and then we have to count back up. lol. but it is fun. my sorority plays it at every crossing party to get to know the new girls in a more intimate setting, i guess ( ... )
