"Having some trouble, Potter?" Snape droned, not long after James managed to walk right past him in his blindness.

Snape was taking some pleasure in simply watching his blind enemy limp by, but couldn't resist poking him just a little bit more by making sure James knew Snape knew how pathetic James was right now. And all it took was the one little line.

[[OOC: figured I'd make James's day just that much worse. Snape just totally just adds insult to injury, no?]]

James froze in place. Shit. Snape. The last person that James wanted to find him in this state had found him. Bloody hell. "Of course I'm not," James stated shortly. "I'm just practicing navigating without my glasses in case I ever lose them. It's... an important skill to have, I'm sure." Oh, but that was probably the lamest lie he had ever told in all his life. Hell.

[[OOC: Oh, I was HOPING for someone like Snape!]]

"Practicing navigating directly into the girl's bath by the looks of it," Snape said haughtily "an important skill indeed..."

Snape's robes shuffled a bit... as though he were taking something from an inner pocket "Nearly as important as practicing dodging curses without one's glasses, wouldn't you agree, Potter?"

[[OOC: This should be interesting~]]

James winced. He really needed to work on this skill--that much wasn't a lie. "Well, you never know when you'll need an excuse to go in there." He was not going to let Snape win this one. "You should try it sometime, Snivelus. After all, it's probably the closest you'll ever get to a naked girl."

There was a sound... rustling fabric. Snape wasn't stripping, right? James shook himself internally. No, of course not. Then Snape spoke. Shit. "I don't think that's a skill I need to work on, no." As a precaution, though, James pulled his wand out, pointing it in Snape's general direction. "I can see well enough to hex you into next week."

Godric was out searching for the portrait of Godric Gryffindor again. He really had to stop getting distracted from it every time he went to go search for it... Well, maybe it'll be different and I'll actually find it when Helga comes along with me. He thought to himself, as he wandered on.

Huh? what was that on the floor? Godric thought as he spotted something.... As he wandered clsoer to it he soon saw a Gryffindor uniform. And then... Great Merlin, was that a person!?

Godric rushed over, seeing it was James curled up on the floor he started trying to shake his good friend awake, almost in a panic. "James! James can you hear me!! Come on wake up!!!" What if James didn't wake up?? What was Godric goning to do???

James groaned softly and moved a little. Someone was shaking him awake. Why did his bed feel like stone. He cracked an eye open and, reflexively, reached for his bedside table and his glasses. His hand found only stone and he sat up, almost instantly, then regretted it. He was dizzy, his head spinning. He didn't know why, at first, then he remembered a fragment. He'd been dying. So much pain. He didn't know who had done what, but he remembered blood and pain. He looked around and caught a blurry figure. "Hey..."

Oh thank Merlin's ghost James was awake. At least that meant... something not as bad as it could be. Not that Godric could say what was either 'bad' or 'not as bad' were.
"Hold on there" Godric said as James tried to sit up. Noting the older boy's dizziness he pushed James back down gently. And right, James wore glasses, and wouldn't be able to see him to well, didn't he? "Hey, James. It's Godric." There were a lot of things he wanted to ask James right now about how he had come to be lying like a sack of potatoes on the floor, but just barely managed to hold back simply asking, "How are you feeling?"

James leaned back and blinked at Godric. "Oh, good. It's you. I... I there was so much blood..." James touched his side and then brought his hand up to his eyes, looking for the blood. It wasn't there. But James was sure it had been. How could it not be there. "I'm so dizzy... My head is killing me..."
