Armistice - or, Mute Math Grows Up

I've been struggling to concentrate on this brand spankin' new LP from some of my very favorite men in music, but it's hard when Muse updates are flying all over the place, and I get wind that Sonata Arctica have a new LP due out next month (SHORT NOTICE MUCH), etc ad nauseum. But I think I'm finally settling into this album, so - some thoughts.

AAAARRRRRRGH! I forgot all about this week's must-have release! I did read your review, but I'm picking it up on my way home from tomorrow night, so I won't be checking out any of the tracks until then. I'm glad to hear you're impressed and, once again, excited for whatever comes next. I had the very same thoughts on their debut, so reading this was a relief.

HAHA! I've had the same problem finding consistency in the spacing of the band's name, but I still think of them as MuteMath, with no space, as that's the way it appeared when I first learned of them and I think I saw it that way for a while before I started seeing it written with a space. Still, who knows how they themselves intend it to be written.

GAH! I stopped at Best Buy yesterday and they appeared to be sold out! No worries though, I went online and ordered it, and it looks like it's available at my Best Buy after all. Or it says it is online anyway. I'm guessing they just hadn't put the remainder of their stock out yet.

Wow, I'm kinda pleased to know it's selling out in stores! Or at least making them re-stock faster than they expected.

Luke heard the album for the first time today as we drove down PCH, and loved it. We listened to it a second time on the way home, and I swear it just gets better after every spin.

Yeah, I thought the same thing: kinda cool that it was selling so fast. Then, during the drive home, I started getting a little bitter, thinking it's probably all because of Twilight. But still, even if it is! Oh, and I did pick up my copy this morning, but I haven't had a chance to listen to it yet. I will do so tomorrow. Good to hear Luke approves. =)
