Donate the out-of-fashion clothing to a theater troupe or dinner theater. They're always in need of stuff from various decades. :)

Wow, your charities are mighty picky! I've had DAV or Salvation Army or Goodwill turn their noses up at stuff like dirty barbecue grills, but never clothing! Old clothing becomes retro, and then matures into 'vintage', becoming cool again.
I wonder what their deal is.
