Would sure be nice if we actually had a weather-radio transmitter close enough to get a proper signal! The nearest transmitter is in Swift Current, which means that we're on the very edge of its signal area. There are a lot of farms further out than we are that could really use that signal too, which makes me wonder why there isn't another transmitter in this area. Maybe that's something to write in and request; If enough people demand it, it might happen. :/

The plow is still a great idea, and I do plan to get one eventually. They're ideal for when you're dealing with a lighter snowfall that isn't worthy of the snow-blower, and they're good for maintaining a path once the snow-blower has cleared it out initially, but one pretty much needs both.
Speaking of plows... It was more than a little aggravating the last couple of days as I was out on the driveway shovelling snow, and watching the plows drive past. They weren't even plowing the highway, they were just going to another location. I realize that it's "not their job" to dig me out, and perhaps there are legal reasons behind it, but it would have taken them two ( ... )
