I've been reluctant to buy from Schneiders because I bought one of their regular blankets (I believe) and it fits his shoulders well, but the neck line for some reason doesn't sit right so it leaks water onto his shoulders/sides. Also, they charge a lot of shipping and have a not-so-great return policy... I may be trying one of theirs next though. They seem like it's worth a try. Thanks.
I don't personally have any experience with their products, sorry. They seem to be recommended the most on the message boards I read whenever someone is blanketing drafts. Good luck!
I briefly had a Rambo XL and it was HUGE around the neck for my mare. It might be a good try... if you can find one :( I'm pretty sure that Rambo discontinued them because I haven't been able to find anywhere. Maybe try ebay?
I've heard good things about the Riders Full Fit too just have never personally tried it.
The Rider's Hug blankets are great for horses that are hard to fit, wide in the neck and shoulders, and for horses with rubbing issues. Super neat front closure is a panel that ultimately closes up on the neck with a buckle, that can be adjusted for a wider neck opening. Here's the heavy weight as an example

I had a Hug blanket for my mare, who was a TB and the exact opposite of drafty. When she died, her blanket went to a Belgian cross, and it fits him just fine too. (And it's lasted for at least three full years now.) The Hugs are awesome--I hope they're still around when I finish grad school, get a real job, and can afford a horse again!
