Most retirement places don't allow riding, to keep their insurance (and board) costs down. BUT -- there are private owners who sometimes will welcome a horse as a companion for theirs. I'd say ask around, post flyers at tack shops, etc. I'm sure you'll find something!
I have seen a couple of recent postings on craigslist (the farm/garden "services" and "for sale" sections) for a private barn in the Lakewood area looking for another horse to keep her's company. I believe it said she had access to Bear Creek, but don't quote me on that one. Occasionally people post an ad asking if anyone knows of a place to board that has XYZ, couldn't hurt to try! You could also try investigating at the Colorado Horse Forum.

If that doesn't work, perhaps you can do a half-lease situation with somebody that wants to ride during the week?
