Have you tried an enzymatic cleaner? I like Nature's Miracle - I'm also a vet tech, currently working in a small animal clinic, and I get peed on more than I care to think about. They sell a couple options in the pet store, and probably elsewhere too. Nature's Miracle happens to be the one I like.
We use it on the faux suede walls of the front desk of the clinic, too, because dogs LOVE to pee on there. Does GREAT on the smell.

This. I love this stuff. It works great on dog urine in the house and it even took blood out of my white carpet.

I'd try adding baking soda to your washing machine. Or try Arm & Hammer's detergent. The shoes are probably a lost cause, but the clothes might be salvageable.

As for going out in public? I'd bring a change of clothes and change in the bathroom.

Wear rubber boots if you have to go into her stall. Like the $20 rain boot kind from Wal-Mart. Rinse them off when you leave her stall and change back into normal shoes.

I don't know if it's do-able for you, but I have a set of boots specifically for stinky jobs that live at the yard or go into a plastic box in my car boot if they need to go elsewhere - for stall mucking I throw on an extra pair of joggers over jods or jeans and it seems to keep the smell from getting through too much. I've not had too much problem actually getting the smells out of clothing though, so can't help much there.

For keeping smell down in future, is there any posibility of changing bedding if it's not currently very absorbent? I HATE straw with a passion for that reason, and use shavings for one of my mares who is very clean and a woodchip bedding for the one who's a grubby cow - it seems to keep pee smells from getting into clothes and hair so much.

I prefer the original formula of Nature's Miracle, which is now sold under the name Petastic. I would definitely wear a pair of rubber boots (they always sell them at Farm and Fleet, Fleet Farm, etc), and change after work. Always wear the same scrubs when you go to take care of her, so you can save your other sets.

This was a weird solution, but it worked for me. I bought a bunch of those Clorox wipes (I think? Disinfectant something) with a lemon smell and stuffed them into my boots, then put the boots in a box with more Clorox wipes. Leave out of sight for several days to a week. Now they just smell obnoxiously lemony, but much less like poo.

You have to be careful with Clorox and urine/ammonia. Those two chemicals combined will do nasty things to your lungs.
