trash the dress session with my horse

I got married in September and after the wedding was all over and things were settled down, I decided to do a "Trash the Dress" session with my horse, Lucy. She's a 4yo OTTB mare who can be quite a handful at times, BUT she really stepped up to the occasion and I am very impressed with her.

I'm really glad you made sure we knew about the context of the photos, so instead of worrying about possible injuries I could just enjoy the photos. :) And wow, those (and you and your mare!) are beautiful!

yup it sucked to have to break my rule but a helmet would just not have worked in the photos! I didn't want to have all of you jump down my throat about it hence the background :)

Heh. Yeah, background is good! And speaking of background--is this the same mare who becomes a fiend when she's in season? Because if so, I'm tremendously impressed at what she's like when she's not.

Those are amazing. What a beautiful mare (and beautiful bride, too!) I'm still trying to work up nerve for a helmet-less photo session on my 21-year-old!
