Back in the saddle again. Get it? ;)

"He is too dangerous to ride, just sell him. Get a different horse. He will never be safe enough."

I hated when I heard those words. My precious horse, not rideable? You must be kidding me, right? No. Not one trainer was kidding; not even my own. Put Fred in any bit and ask him to give to it--and you'd have a ( Read more... )

He's almost breaking level in some shots! when you get that condition up he'll be awesome! Congrats, I heard that about my horse too (that he'd be useless and I should sell him). Don't listen to the haters :p

Yep! He had a few moments where he was level. He definitely needs some conditioning. She's convinced with that and with shoes, he'd be at least level. He was without shoes on gravel, so it was probably harder to break level anyways. But, it doesn't really matter too much, he's country pleasure, so more emphasis on everything else. But, level is nice! haha.

Thanks! :)

If your horse has lameness problems, working him on a driveway at all 3 gaits is probably NOT a good idea, especially if you want to show him soon.

He's not lame, never has been lame. My trainer can make those decisions, but thanks anyways.

He was only ridden on gravel that one day. I do plan on getting x-rays done before any hard training. He will probably get x-rays within the next 2-3 weeks. Pretty sure it's just arthritis, but I'd like to make sure.

Thanks.
