I know this isn't going to be exciting to most anyone, but I had to squee about it to someone who would understand.

My horse Indy and I are getting ready to meet a trainer for the first time (a result of this post), and I've been working hard getting us both in shape, or at least a shape that doesn't resemble a circle. He's been doing well, though ( Read more... )

I totally get your squee! My horse just came in from being out on grass all summer and suddenly he goes round perfectly and can do Halt-Canter and Canter-Halt.

Thanks! Boy and he knows it, he sees a camera and he's like "oh well hello there" :)

Thank you! He's about as sweet as his face makes him out to be, which is pretty much awesome.

Always squee when something difficult just suddenly starts to work.

Mine for today: I have Feronia's "long and low" trot back! She offered today, and when I let the reins out she stretched her little nose right down to the ground and trotted calmly. Such a good girl.

That's super! We've had a couple kinks like that where he doesn't really recall what it is I want him to do, and then one day it suddenly clicks and he's like "oh yeah, that's for this!" It's so super when that actually happens.
