When Winry had heard about the fence going down from the little radio she'd got from the compound, she set to gathering up her tools and filling her toolbox. They'd need all the help they could get, and Winry was eager to help. Something to fix!

She was just about to close the lid of her toolbox when Al's head appeared at the top of the rope ladder. "Hey," said Winry, slinging her toolbox over one shoulder, "I'm on my way to help with the fence. You two coming along?"

Al blinked, glancing down over his shoulder at Ed, then pulled himself up into the tree house.

"Winry," he started, face a mix of extreme relief, slight harassment, and powerful affection.

"Is that really a good idea? I'm sure they could use your help, but..." But there were dinosaurs. Everywhere.

"They may have already left," said Edward, pulling himself up into the tree house. The relief he felt at finding her safe was undeniable -- and really, what allowed him to not feel so horrible about putting his proverbial foot down. "And if that's the case, and there are Dinosaurs running loose, you can't go out looking for them by yourself. Search and Rescue has enough to deal with."

"They need all the help they can get," said Winry, her eyes narrowing, "and if you think I'm going to sit here on my ass while there's some way I can help, then you're out of your mind, Edward Elric." She stepped to the edge of the hole in the floor with her arms crossed over her chest. If there was one thing Winry hated, it was being told what to do. "At least I'm not just wandering into dinosaur territory just for the hell of it."

Heedless of Ed's sputtering, she bent to drop down the ladder out of the treehouse, and all of a sudden jumped back with a shout. "What is THAT?" she yelped, pointing to the little dinosaur staring up at them from below.
