Is there an epidemic of flag-burning going on that I am not aware of?

There was a part in my paper where I had to talk about someone bringing up the issue of flag-burning out of nowhere and I so wanted to use that quote.

Anyway, I am extremely strange in the way I write papers. Here's the way the one I had to write for last night went starting with Monday night (WARNING: do not try this at home!):

In order to motivate myself to write a paper I needed to reward myself with sleeping, eating, and bathing. There's something wrong with that.
