I got funding!   I'm doing the PhD!   I got funding!   Funding!   Funding!   Fun!   Fun!

::is incoherent with happiness::

(The funding is from the uni.  I'm also still in the running for Research Council funding, and if I get that the uni funding gets transferred to the next person on the list.  But no matter what, I has funding!!!!)

Thank you! I'm ridiculously happy. (And it's totally distracted me from the two assignments I have to write for next week...!)

Yeay, that's brilliant - well done you! Huzzah!

And did you receive your disks back safely? Hope so!

Thank you! I'm bouncy like a bouncy thing on a trampoline!

And yes, I did, eventually - it was delivered to another Sarah in the village, who lived in our house about 7 years ago. That's the kind of village this is. The postman assumed it was hers - and so did her husband, who opened it. Which is wrong on several levels...

Eep - did I not put your name on properly or something? How did that happen?! Nearly a nasty accident... Sorry!

You put "Sarah" but no surname (which is fair enough because I didn't tell you my surname) and apparently the postie just decided it must be her. Luckily I've delivered mis-delivered post to her before, so she just returned the favour, a couple of days later. I just wonder what would have happened if it had been something a bit risque? Would it have led to marital strife? Or if it had been something worth nicking and he'd kept it, would I ever have known it was wrongly delivered? I was quite disturbed by the thought of him opening her post, as well - if Himself opened my post I would be a very unhappy bunny indeed. (Mind you, this is a bloke who's threatened to bomb the council offices, so...)
