and okay, this confuses me because isn't the falling supposed to wake them? like, yusof made the concoction so that falling WOULD wake them, no matter what! i'm confused.

wait, the kick as in the van hitting the water, right? isn't it because of the time multiplier whatever, so while the kick was inevitable, it hadn't yet happened at the deeper levels?

re: why didn't they just kill themselves once, i think it's because they were already running out of time in limbo, so when they died in limbo, like when ariadne jumped, she got taken back to the fortress, which then blew up, taking them back to the hotel, where the lift hit the bottom of the shaft, which took them back to the van, which hit the water, which took them back to the plane. so it's like a cascade effect? presumably if it happened earlier she would have spent more time at the fortress before it blew up and took them up a level.

no there were two kicks, right? freefalling, and then hitting the water. the freefalling should've woken yusof up, regardless of the rest, AND i just realized they should have just flung saito off a bridge when he started bleeding to wake him up, if that was going to be the solution. get what i mean?

and no, i get this part about limbo, but what i mean is why didn't everyone go to limbo and then just kill themselves once? cos clearly cobb and saito only had to do it once. they didn't make it back for all those levels. so if everyone had just gone to limbo, wouldn't it have made it easier? no need for all the free-falling in all the other levels.

augh, the limbo thing! one mintue they're like it's the worst thing that could ever happen, you won't make it back from limbo if you end up there etc etc and next he's rescuing that guy like it ain't no thang.
