Poor vampy. This sucks a lot.

I would suspect that "the right shoes" probably means getting orthotics. Which I guess you get from a doctor, and I also guess are pretty expensive.

I don't think cutting off your feet would help, and that's the only other thing I can suggest.

somehow walking without feet doesn't seem all that appealing...i wonder why that is.

You could get brand new bionic feet and attach them to your leg stumps!

Something tells me that "Brand New Bionic Feet" may cost a bit more than the couple hundred she was going to spend on new shoes. But I'm not in the Bionic industry so I could just not know what Im talking about and now I will shut up.

Holy shit, that's awful. I had fibroids as an early teen and was diagnosed with PCOD, but I've never had the problems most people have. I know they give you insulin-related drugs, but I had no idea about the extent it could go to.

:(

If you sleep the same number of hours, how can getting up at an earlier hour make you morally superior? (Rhetorical, my dad is the same way- up at 4 am every damn day). My circadian rhythms don't match the rest of the world's. Nyah Nyah, rest of world.

I wonder what Dr. David, Wonder Chiropractor, would suggest?

i'm sure dr. david would tell me to buy some minimilast architectural furniture and then give me one of those adjustments that i hate ( ... )

No way. There is no such thing as TMI between people who love QAF.

I get the chiropractor crush, I really do. I have a daddy crush on the guy who gives me my B12 shot. He's about my dad's age and has this deep, soothing voice. Sometimes I'm tempted to ask him if I can go curl up in his office and take a nap while he reads to me. I'm sure that would go over quite well.

Will the Vicodin help some? I hope it does. What you described sounds terrible. Will nursing shoes (or whatever) help when you can afford them?

the vicodin has helped some in the "they still hurt a little but i care signifigantly less" way.

the problem is that i got that "dress professionally" talk from my boss so i can't wear "nursing shoes" cause i'm the director of social services...not a nurse...so i'm gonna have to find some expensive orthopedic shoes that don't look orthopedic.

grrrrr.

Do you have insurance with your new job? Because those costly shoes, that I agree will probably have to come from a special foot doctor, may be partially or totally covered.

I saw a Chiropractor this week for the first time in about 10 years. I swear I came about 5 times while in his care. Just...OMG...seriously, amazing!

after nintey days i'll have insurance... but i don't know if it will cover shoes...it will cover chiropractic though...

so excited to get to see my chriopractor on a regular basis again.

and i get the almost coming with a chiropractor...i'm sure the entire office is amused/embarrased by the sounds i make.
