My sister discovered this past week that she has leukemia. We are fortunate in that she found out early, but it looks like that she may still need a bone marrow transplant ( Read more... )

Oh wow; this shocking to read. I hope that you're a match and that your sister gets better. This is going to be an unbelievably hard road ahead for you and your family.

The one I met seemed to have a good sense of humor. They've changed it since then, however, since at first they thought it was "only" lymphoma. Leukemia brings a whole new set of people.

Oh man. I hope your sister finds a donor!

Last time I considered getting on the registry, it cost $60 to join. Problem is, I can't remember if I joined or not...

Oh this page says the cost is now $100:

It also says: "If you are unsure whether you joined, you can contact us at 1 (800) MARROW-2."
