Gawd only knows why I'm writing a generic 'state of things' post, but I am. Maybe summarizing my life for other people helps me figure what I need to do next. Or something like that.

Lab:Was making steady progress until Friday, when my western blots stopped coming out. I almost wish we didn't buy our gels preformed - 'cause I'm going to burn

I thought you were studying chemistry. Why are you running gels, dude?. I knew you had some T4 in you, if that's a good thing.

I am . . . but the lab I wanted to rotate in had some biochem work that needed doing and I did say on my app that I was interested in learning techniques beyond those of the synthetiker.

I'm pretty happy with the long term benefits (better understanding of bio, etc etc) and it's good to broaden my horizons a bit. There are days when I miss my flash columns and NMR spectra though. I'm not sure how much of that is actually being nostaligic for organic chem and how much is just that I miss being a ninja.
