When I was a kid, I was exposed to this book, and though I don't remember much, what I DO remember is that the kid got sick, so they had to take away all of his stuff and burn it...including this stuffed animal that he loved so much.
So for YEARS when I would get sick, I would refuse to snuggle up with my Howie cuz I didn't want him to be taken ( Read more... )

Well, luckily all kids' toys are made of crappy plastic now so they can just be put in the dishwasher instead of the fireplace. ;P

The first time I saw "The Princess Bride" I was so terrified of the ROUSes that I thought it was a horror movie and didn't watch it again for several years. *blush*
