War Wounds

Went to sparring class and got a lot less hurt than usual...which means I'm getting better at this, apparently. Been working on not flinching and turning my head when fists are coming at me; that's a hard instinct to ignore. But, like I said, I seem to be getting better at this a little each time I go.

Then it's not broken...but it's gonna get that way at this rate, given how many times it's been mashed into a shin.

There are certain kinds of sparring pads that are designed specifically to protect toes; I should get some.

In my school, you can start sparring as soon as you hit yellow belt, which I did about a month ago.

I started taking martial arts last August or September or so because rollerblading season was ending and I wanted to stay in shape.
