Went to sparring class and got a lot less hurt than usual...which means I'm getting better at this, apparently. Been working on not flinching and turning my head when fists are coming at me; that's a hard instinct to ignore. But, like I said, I seem to be getting better at this a little each time I go.
...but I still took a little damage today.
So, the bruise on my right hand has faded to an impressively scary-looking purple. The bruises on my left shin are fading, but now I've got a really crazy one on my right knee; I have no idea how I got it. Doesn't really hurt much even to touch it, so...I d'know...
Query: how do you tell if a toe is broken? The pinkie toe on my left foot has been mashed so many times that I swear if it isn't broken yet, it will be just by attrition. And if a toe is broken, what do you do about it? Especially given that you have no intention of taking a break from sparring class to let it heal up? Just askin'.
Anyway...shower time, then dinner. My appetite has been simply out of control since I started sparring classes, and I gotta figure out how to satisfy it responsibly.
