Odd occurances.

Went to bed at about 6-7pm last night, woke up at 9pm, then went to bed again at 10pm, which lead to me waking up at 3am. After drifting in and out of consciousness, I got up at 5am, finished reading my English readings for the week, started on philosophy, then made some crepes. Headed out to biology, where I couldn't find any handouts because I ( Read more... )

Who's your prof for Bio? And I liked the class (a lot) and found that yes, the classes prepped me for the exams, and that the open booked format worked for me, but that was just me, and I worked hard for that course because I liked it. But I know a lot of students felt ripped off after the exams. But yea, it all depends on the prof. I had an awesome one, but that's just my opinion - Michael doesn't like her at all. Eh, I have Benbasat. I rather like the course content, but the way it's presented really bothers me. She might prepare us for the exams, she might not; kind of hard to tell; I'm guessing most of the preparation seems to lie in the questions that they give.

And, hehe! I'd love to do an NGO internship one day. *_* But, wow. >_O That does sound like a rather harsh experience; I thought it would be mostly a mental adjustment to living in poorer conditions; the receptionist guy at International House said that one second year student went to a poor East Asian country, and learned to do surgery because they had something like two surgeons for every thousand people or so.

Yea, I had Kion. Like I said, she's fabulous. I don't know much about Benbasat - I know she teaches the lab course for microbi majors, and I heard mixed things about her when she was teaching 112 (or rather, when I was taking it). What part of the presentation bothers you?

Well, mostly her dry talking style, as well as her non-element of surprise style. She isn't condescending or anything--I just find her style boring, though she does a good comprehensive covering of the subject. (I'm hoping)
