I took my nieces (and one of their friends) to the Ottawa Comic Con today... this was their first con and they had a blast. As a treat I bought them a ticket to have a picture taken with Nathan Fillion and they insisted that I join them as well and I asked their friend K to join us (we were allowed up to 4 people in the photo)... so here is the ( Read more... )

Nathan was great but I have to say Nick Brendan was awesome with the girls... When elder niece couldn't decide between the picture of him on Buffy or the one from Criminal Minds he signed both for her, and then posed for a picture. They were both completely smitten :-)

That's so cool :) My sister goes to the Firefly convention in Calif every year, and she always loves the photo part and sends me photos of herself with all the stars, but particularly, twice she's paid for some special breakfast with some of the stars, and I think last time it was with Alan Tudyk? She says he's nicer than Nathan(?) Dunno. The photo I'd like to pose for with Nathan wouldn't be G-rated. :)

LOL from what I saw of people's pictures, he was pretty accomodating with the posing and hugging etc... ;-)

The photo thing is fun, although I think the best part of the whole experience was my niece telling me we were in 'Galaxyquest' (a must see movie if you haven't seen it). I'm thinking I might try and go back to the San Diego Comic Con next year... I had a good time the last time I was there.
