First ski cut today! The hill warmed up a LOT overnight, and we got a few MORE inches on top of all the lighter stuff from last week, so every person not throwing bombs was used on routes to get every possible pocket (read: fully half the open terrain on the mountain was considered a possible avalanche). I drove up to Fairbanks, in the hopes of seeing the Aurora Borealis, this afternoon after taking a couple runs down Christmas chute. Along the way, I spun out and bounced off a snow bank, but I think my car is okay: it has a vibration I'll need to check out first thing tomorrow morning. All told, it took 9 hours. I got back from visiting points to my south (Seward and Kenai) Friday night, for work Saturday morning. Saturday was a great day to work in the aid room: fast snow, sunny and gorgeous, plenty of patients, and plenty of work. So, that was good.
