I like how that wording makes it look like Spock is the subject of the sentence and hence a plural noun. Like how fish is the plural of fish. "There is a lovely herd of Spock running free across the plains."
This is delightfully perfect. Spock may have been difficult, but when I saw Melanie Lynskey, I was like "yes!" (and I don't think I ever would have thought of her myself).
