Now you have me trying to imagine a story with Mr. Wu, you cruel woman.
I can almost imagine a fic - from his point of view - which would be snarky and heavy on the eighties references - in which Veronica comes to him to ask for aid in some crime because it's...somehow related to physics? The details are still a little fuzzy. But I'm sure the knowledge he's gleaned about human perfidy from watching years of high school students will come in handy.
Mr. Wu is an under-used resource! Apparently Rob Thomas realizes this, 'cause Martin Yu is one of the many VM cast/crew members to also work on Party Down!
Hmmm... perhaps a serial killer who thinks he's being all clever and leaving hidden messages, when in fact he's a moron & it's all gobbledy-gook?
The serial killer is obviously a failed physics grad student. Driven mad by his inability to get a Ph.D, he decides to attack his former physics teachers, whom he believes to be the source of his misfortune. At each crime scene, he leaves a physics equation pinned to the breasts of the dead...
Obviously Mr. Wu was his first physics teacher, and the climactic showdown is the scene where the killer comes to his classroom after hours and tries to Do Him Harm.
I think there should also be an UST romance storyline with the deaf lunch lady. He's tried to learn sign language, but he's good with words, not his hands! And his ASL tutor gives up on him because he's so hopeless, but he keeps going to the cafeteria & smiling at her, 'cause even a klutz can do that!

Agent Loomis needs a show where she can go and smack around the whiny, angsty FBI agents from other shows. She's the best.

She really, really does. And you know what I (strangely) really liked about her? That she was a desk jockey, not a field agent.
