So, despite what the doctor said, I am regaining much of the range of motion in my finger. It's still quite obviously broken: there's a big bump on the joint, and it still won't bend all the way down, but it's much better than it was and better than the doctor said it would get

Unfortunately, the version I'm listening to has the microphone positioned too close to the keys rather than the hammers, so you pick up the sound of the guy's fingernails hitting the ivory with EVERY SINGLE NOTE.

Yeah, when my daddy dislocated his shoulder they said that there was about a 50% chance that he would never be able to use that arm again. Granted, he sometimes still has problems with it, but he can sure use it for the most part again! HUZZAH for doctors being wrong (sometimes)!
