i'm glad you updated. there was a book i wanted to tell you about because i was thinking about your entry on glenn beck. it's called the power of babel. are you familiar with it? it's really interesting. it's about the constant evolution of dialogue and how there is no absolute english. sounds boring i know. but it's good.

Actually, I have heard of it, and totally have wanted to read it since forever.

I was having that discussion with the GF that the majority of our conversations would be totally incomprehensible to somebody with even a decent understanding of English. Hell, even the stuff I write for publication is often a contextual nightmare for non-native speakers.
