A Bar - Day 23 (Evening) - Open/Unfinished

Nov 19, 2009 02:00

The shore leave they'd been given was, unfortunately, a working shore leave. But that didn't mean they didn't have time for a little fun inbetweentimes. The last phase of the repairs was scheduled to start in the morning, as was the crisis training...by his reckoning, that left a good twelve hours yet which could be happily spent in alcoholic ( Read more... )

It had to be the first time that Tonia had been out of uniform since the ship had departed Earth. Around the ship didn't count. It was still the ship no matter how you looked at it. This.. this was a spacestation. With bars. And places to go shopping! Needless to say Tonia was tickled pink.

Green eyes scanned the faces of patrons looking for people she was friends with before they landed on Scotty. Oh yes. Big brother needed his lil sister about to keep an eye on him. Or something. Maybe it would be the opposite this time around. "Hey you," the yeoman beamed up at him as she approached. Looking down the line of patrons already there at the bar she glanced back at him. "I see someone else had a good idea for the evening."

"Hey, Toni. Lookin' good." He was out of uniform himself, in jeans that had seen better days and his favourite t-shirt. "First round's mine," he said, "What'll you have?"

Yes the shirt was getting a little shake of her head and a giggle. Leave it to the Scotsman to find something like that in his wardrobe. Really- at this rate she and Christine were going to be dressing everyone on the ship. Sliding up onto a seat beside of him the younger woman pursed her lips slightly. "Jack straight up if they got it. If not then... maybe a Cardassian Sunrise."

He caught the barman's eye eaily enough; there was a trick to it, as every seasoned drinker knew. "JD straight up for the lady," he said, "And a pint for me."

Cassie wandered in to the bar. She was dressed in jeans and a t-shirt with a big lipstick kiss on it and a pair of boots. This was topped off with Andrew's jacket.

Strolling up to the bar she ordered a drink that was a curious shade of green and wandered over to where Scotty was sitting. Pulling up a chair, she planted her boots on the table and took a swig of her drink.

"Mmmm. This tasted good." She grinned, "So what ya up to Chief?"

"Getting thoroughly trolleyed if there's any justice in the universe," he replied, taking a long pull from his glass. "Cheers," he added ironically.

"Would you like me to keep getting the drinks in for you?." she said as she took a sip of her drink "I'm always willing to help a man on a mission!"

She grinned at him stupidly.

"Think what I've got'll do me a while yet," he said. The barman had been blessedly amenable to requests such as 'keep 'em coming' and 'just leave the bottle'.

The bar!

As was traditional on shore leave, the first place he ended up, either on a planet or a station, was the bar. Bars gave you a sense of the locals, and usually had the best unpretentious local food. Pub fare, was generally good o mater where you were in the galaxy.

It felt good to be out of his goon suit and back in his native(and far more his style) ripped up jeans and a t-shirt.

He plopped his ass on the bar stool and signaled the bartender as he lit up a cigarette. "Give me what ever's strong, good, and local."

Ah, now there was a familar face. "Alright Tony? How's it goin', man?" he slid into the next barstool over, drink in hand. "I'm likin' the look."

"Thanks, it's all the rage in Paris," he said dryly as the bartender put a lowball glass full something neon orange and highly alcoholic smelling.

"Do I even want to know what this is?" The bartender just smirked and walked away. Tony shrugged and looked back at Scotty, "It's going good, getting trashed, wanna join me?"

"Now there's a plan I can get behind," he replied, tossing back a fair amount of his own drink. "'m painfully sober right now."

At some point, Christine had noticed that the ship was nearly empty and the few remaining personnel - save for those who lucked out and had a shift - were decidedly relaxed. Civilian clothing, loud music, giggling down the halls, the whole shebang. And when even Leonard McCoy was falling for the allure of an evening out on the space station, she couldn't exactly ignore it.

After a considerable debate with her closet, she settled on a rather girly pink dress and strappy shoes that she would probably regret by evening's end. And then, drawn instinctively to the impromptu meeting spot of her crewmates, she entered the bar. It was dim and pleasantly loud and alive

Christine hovered near the door, savouring the energy and watching for some reason to move any further.

It was decided that they could have one night of fun before the training regimen started, and Kirk prepared for the first night in months in which he could go out, let loose, and have a good time. Digging through his closet didn't really speak for club or bar attire -- mostly command gold and dress uniforms and suits and things Kirk really would rather not wear in a million years(Though, that green wrap-around shirt with the Fleet pin was growing on him).

Kirk finally grabbed a pair of jeans and a button down shirt, pausing for a moment to consider the chances of getting laid tonight if he dressed up a little. Admittedly, it hadn't been too long -- Admiral Pike saw to that -- but he still admitted to needing some relaxation. He put on the finishing touches with a dark blue blazer on top of the ensemble, pushed some gel with a comb into his hair, and strolled on out onto the starbase ( ... )

First whistle of the night and she hadn't even left the entrance. Tonight was going to be exciting, it seemed. "You're not apt to change anytime soon, are you, Captain Kirk?" she asked him playfully, tucking a wayward piece of lazily curled hair behind her ear. "You're looking very sharp this evening, by the way."

"Not really, no. Not on my first shore leave since taking off, anyway." He playfully pulled one loose curl, and gestured gentlemanly to the bar. "I do wear clothes other than my captain's uniform. Feels good to get out of it. You know that feeling, don't you?"

Sky was one of the last to leave the ship for shore leave simply because she had gotten caught up in her latest project. Entering the bar now, her gaze was immediately caught by the raucous group of Starfleet officers. Smiling, it was nice to see everyone having a good time, the diminutive woman moved over to the bar and ordered herself a vodka based cocktail, before moving over to join the periphery of the group.

"Hey," She greeted the people around her with a warm smile, "What's happening?"

Bones had been waiting for another round of purf smiss -- someone was getting them more drinks, right? -- when he saw a familiar little face. Pretty little face. Sky face.

"Shy! Where the hellya been hidin'?" Leonard called out to her... perhaps a bit loudly. She'd looked further away just a minute ago. "C'mon over here an' watch me drink Scotty under the floor!" Oddly, something seemed off about that metaphor. "To the table," he corrected. Yeah, that sounded better.

"Mmm?" Scotty frowned in concentration, making a valiant attempt to ensure that the next sentence came out in something resembling Standard. "Still doing better than you," he said, oddly overprecise simply to ensure the words didn't all slur together. Another pause. Lined the next sentence up in his head and checked it over a couple of times before saying it: "Hey Sky. Have a seat."

Sky slipped through the crowd and settled herself down on a spare seat next to Leo and grinned over at Scotty. "Hey Scotty," she greeted, sipping her vodka cocktail and wrinkling her nose at how strong it was, "You two trying to out drink each other?" Her blue eyes were taking in the glasses on the table and she grinned.

"I had some work to do," she told Leo, amused at his drunk naming of her Shy. "Glad to see that you are having fun though...."
